Only 36 points away from history
After tonight’s loss against the New Orleans Pelicans where Lebron James put up 27 points 9 Rebounds and 6 Assists, LeBron James is only 36 points away from passing NBA great, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. The record could be broken either when the Lakers play the Thunder on Tuesday at Crypto.com Arena or on Thursday when they play the Bucks.
For almost 4 decades Kareem held the record for most career points with 38,387 and no one thought that no one would ever come close to breaking that record until now. LeBron James has played in the NBA since 2003 and he’s on the verge of becoming the king of career points.
Even through all the wear and tear he’s been through LeBron is still able to give you over 20+ points/game even at 38 years old.
What will happen next once LeBron breaks the record; will he officially be known as the greatest basketball player of all time, how much longer will LeBron play to add on that all-time points record, and will he be in the league when his son Bronny is eligible in 2025? Many questions will be displayed but us fans need to appreciate what LeBron is doing and be blessed because it won’t be much longer until LeBron retires and the greatest player of the 21st century will be gone from the league.
