Despite only having a few career NBA games, Mac McClung dominated the field during Saturday's NBA All-Star Dunk Contest. Having just signed a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers this week, McClung was able to edge out Kenyon Martin Jr., Trey Murphy III, and Jericho Sims to win the dunk contest.

McClung scored a perfect 50 on three of his four contest dunks and a 49.8 on his only non-50. For his first dunk, he jumped over two people and made the dunk on his first attempt. His second dunk was a two-handed, 360-degree dunk that scored 49.8. And in his third dunk, he would again jump over a bystander and bump the ball on the backboard before dunking to score yet another perfect 50.

In the final dunk, he went against Murphy III of the New Orleans Pelicans and performed a 540-degree dunk where he spun one and a half times in the air and dunked it cleanly, scoring another 50 and ultimately winning the dunk contest.

McClung stated after the contest that he would like to defend his title next year in Indianapolis if the league invites him back. Although McClung has yet to burst onto the NBA scene, this certainly gave people a reason to talk about McClung as he hopes to keep working on his ultimate goal of making an impact on the NBA level.
