Jazz Playing the Right Notes
With the NBA season just kicking off, we have seen many different teams have a new roster and a new structure. As a result, some teams have entered a full rebuild process to gain a high draft pick in this year's loaded draft class.
A New Leader in Utah
Starting off the season 3-0 is nothing short of a surprise for the Jazz organization. After dealing both Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert during the offseason, it was clear that the Jazz planned to tank to try and secure a top pick. Instead, Laurie Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, and Collin Sexton have created a trio that has been on a tear recently and achieving more than the analyst had predicted.
Through three games thus far this season, Markkanen has averaged 24 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. After a few underwhelming seasons in Chicago, it is safe to say that Markkanen has shown flashes that he can be in his own role with Utah.
Does This Continue ?
With the Jazz's recent success, it raises a question: will this play continue? Despite being only a few games into the season, the Utah Jazz has shown sparks they can produce in the Western Conference.
With the race for Victor Wembanyama getting very serious this season, it raises the question of what this roster could shape up to be with the addition of the unanimous number-one pick in this year's draft.
