Is this the Year LeBron Finally Starts to Regress?

LeBron James is entering his twenty-first season in the NBA and is currently the oldest player under contract in the entire league. James has shown no signs of slowing down as in his twentieth season he averaged 28.9 points per game as well as 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists. These are still superstar numbers for a player that should have passed his prime at least five years ago. Every year it seems like it will finally be the one where James regresses far enough to where he is no longer considered a superstar. This has still yet to happen.

LeBron and the Lakers missed the playoffs altogether during the 2021-2022 season, causing many to start having doubts about how much of a winning player LeBron still is. These critics were silenced, however, when LeBron and the Lakers made it all the way to the conference finals after finishing the regular season as the seventh seed in the West. James has proven he can still will his team to victory as long as he has a supporting cast that steps up.

The Lakers made many moves this offseason to help bolster their roster and arguably had the best offseason in the league this year. Due to the fact that James has such a strong supporting cast this upcoming season, I believe that the Lakers will remain atop the West next season, and LeBron will still be considered a superstar as he makes one last run at another championship.
