Here Are The NBA Players Most Likely To Be Traded By The Trade Deadline

With the NBA trade deadline near and a couple of teams already making moves to acquire assets or players to contend. Here are NBA players I believe may be traded by the trade deadline.

Domantas Sabonis or Myles Turner

When news came out that the Indiana Pacers were contemplating a rebuild. Speculation began to build around who they may trade considering they were in the playoffs last season and have players who can easily contribute to a contending franchise. However once that rumor transitioned to reality after Adrian Wojnarowski announced the Pacers traded guard Caris LeVert to central division rival the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It signaled Domantas Sabonis or Myles Turner may be next considering their value and the assets the Pacers can acquire by trading them. One team inquiring about Sabonis’s availability is the Washington Wizards.

Overall, I expect the Pacers to be one of the most active teams in this years trade deadline.

De' Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley

Still in contention for a spot in the NBA’s play-in tournament, the Sacramento Kings are in a position to one rebuild or acquire assets and great players to have a competitive roster. However in order to do that they may have to trade players such De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley, Harrison Barnes, or Buddy Hield. I believe the Kings may likely trade De’Aaron Fox because of his decline, injuries, and the emergence of guards Tyrese Haliburton and Davion Mitchell.

For Marvin Bagley who himself has also been sidelined with injuries; is also likely to be traded because of his growing frustration and role with the Kings. I believe a fresh start is needed not only for the former No. 2 overall pick but the Kings organization.

Eric Gordon

In one of the most common trade targets or at least trade narrative that occurs during the trade deadline. Eric Gordon is a player I think will likely be trade by the NBA trade deadline. Because of the trade narrative of a good, veteran player on a bad team that then gets traded to a contending roster and the fact that his future in Houston seems nonexistent. As the Rockets are keeping him because of the extension he signed in the 2020-2021 season and that he can exchanged for first round picks or a player and multiple second rounders.

Overall, I see a team in need of shooting and a veteran presence trading for Gordon’s services. Those teams include the Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, Memphis Grizzlies, or the Dallas Mavericks.

Jerami Grant

Out of all the trade rumors and speculation around the league. Jerami Grant is the most likely player to be traded by the NBA trade deadline. Not just because he collected his money from the Pistons but he is a player that contending teams would go out of their way to trade for. As he is power forward who can stretch the floor, guard positions three through five, and is the perfect player to have in a fourth quarter small ball lineup.

As contending teams like the Jazz, Warriors, Bulls, Suns, Mavs, or Grizzlies may trade for Jerami Grant.
