2x MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has agreed to a 3 year, 186 million dollar extension to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks. Antetokounmpo is the face of the Milwaukee Bucks franchise, he is now locked in with Milwaukee the team that drafted him way back in 2013 15th overall, through the 27-28 season with a new deal that features a player option in the last season of the deal. Coming off of a strong 22-23 campaign that seen him average a career high 31.1 points per game to go along with 11.8 rebounds in 63 games played, Antetokounmpo now begins to focus and lock in on the start of a new season with his new deal done and in the rear view mirror.

This extension comes shortly after the franchise went out and acquired point guard Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers. Antetokounmpo had been quoted a few times this off-season about his desire to win, and the organization heard that and went out and acquired an elite running mate to go along side of the Greek Freak. Lillard and Antetokounmpo immediately form one of the NBA’s top duo’s, and now look toward the regular season as they begin their quest to bring another championship to Milwaukee. Sports books also seem to agree, as after the trade for Lillard the Bucks became the favorite to win the NBA Championship.
