Brooklyn Nets Playoff Scenario

Iowa City, IA (PSF)- After a very disorderly and trade-heavy NBA regular season, we have dwindled down to the final week!

The Brooklyn Nets had another drama-filled season that fortunately for them, ended near the trade deadline with Kyrie Irving being traded to the Dallas Mavericks and Kevin Durant being traded to the Phoenix Suns.

The Brooklyn Nets sit at a record of 43-35 and are 10-13 in the games after the trade deadline.

In 23 games with the Nets, Bridges has averaged 27.6 points per game, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1 steal.

The Nets proclaimed that Bridges is an asset that they want to keep in the future, which is bright for Brooklyn with all the first-round picks they have at their disposal.

That’s something Brooklyn will have to worry about after the season though, with their playoff matchup being nearly set.

With Brooklyn defeating the Utah Jazz last night, the Nets basically locked up the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs and will most likely match up with Joel Embiid, James Harden, and the Philadelphia 76ers who are the three seed.

The 76ers have a 51-27 record so far this season. Recently, they’ve had a record of 13-8 since the All-Star break and have been dealing with Injury issues on the team, specifically with their two star players in Embiid and Harden.

Brooklyn plays a stingy style of defense that can cause some problems for the 76ers. It should be a great series if and when the matchup is official.

Could Brooklyn pull off the upset? They got nothing to lose, so why not?
