The Philadelphia 76ers have made their first official NBA signing, and it’s Patrick Beverley reportedly signing a one-year $3.19 million contract. Beverley began his NBA career with the Houston Rockets so he is now reunited with Daryl Morey in Philadelphia. Beverley averaged 9.6 points per game in his five seasons in Houston and Daryl Morey hopes he brings his leadership to the 76ers that is still in need of finding that consistent voice in the locker room. While Beverley does not have an NBA ring on his finger he does bring a ton of passion and a winning mentality with him to the team. He along with P.J. Tucker, who also played in Houston with Beverley, should bring strong leadership with them into the 2023-2024 season.
