What the return of The Rock could mean for WWE
On the September 15 episode of WWE Smackdown there was a surprising return that had fans shocked in Denver, Colorado. WWE legend The Rock returned to give fans a night they will never forget. During his segment of the show he embarrassed Austin Theory and gave the people what they wanted, his famous move “the People’s Elbow”. With the return of the WWE legend fans are speculating what could be next and what is the purpose of his return.
The Return
With the return of The Rock it could potentially set up a multitude of matchups and storylines within the company, either on Smackdown or Raw. It was not clearly stated whether he will be showing up on Smackdown specifically or if he will also be appearing on Raw. I believe that the best route would be to have The Rock appear on Smackdown. After all, The Bloodline is on Smackdown and I don’t think he came back just to avoid interacting with his family. It has been rumored for the past year that WWE wants to make a match between The Rock and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, they now have that opportunity at their disposal. This match was rumored to be the main event of Wrestlemania last year but it didn’t materialize. The upcoming Wrestlemania in April will most likely be too far out for this match to happen so I would expect for this feud to take place before then.

Again as I have stressed over and over, The Rock’s return has a lot of potential because of the possible feuds and storylines he could get into. You can see what is next for The Rock this upcoming Friday on Smackdown.
