What is Next for the Main Card of UFC Fight Night: Lemos vs Andrade

For a card without the biggest name value to the casual eye, UFC Fight Night: Lemos versus Andrade lived up to the hype of submission performances and picture-perfect striking.

Here are future opponents for the main card fighters of this UFC Fight Night

(FW) Lando Vannata vs (FW) Charles Jourdain

Known for entertaining audiences and his elite striking/Muay Thai background. Charles “Air” Jourdain reminded everyone Saturday night that he is a black belt in jiu-jitsu.

What is next?

Lando Vannata: Matchups for Vannata to make next include Johnathan Pearce, Ricardo Ramos, or Tucker Lutz.

Charles Jourdain: In his post-fight interview and press conference, Jourdain said he would like to fight Edson Barboza in a must-see standup competition. If that matchup were not to be made, I like Jourdain against Billy Quarantillo, Pat Sabatini, Lerone Murphy, Alex Caceres, or Sung Woo Choi.

(#14 FlyW) Maycee barber vs (FlyW) Montana De La Rosa

In back & forth grappling contest between highly regarded flyweights, Maycee Barber versus Montana De La Rosa was a battle of who could the best of one another. In this case, it was Maycee Barber via unanimous decision but I believe De La Rosa won round two.

What is next?

Maycee Barber: Now on a two-fight win streak, the perfect opponent for Barber is Erin Blanchfield. If that fight were not be made matchups versus the outcome of O’neil/Eye, Araujo/Lee or Calvillo/Nunes makes sense.

Montana De La Rosa: Back to the drawing board once again, opponents I like for Montana include Maryna Moroz, Mariya Agapova, and Molly McCann.

(lw) Clay Guida vs (LW) Claudio Puelles

Earning his third kneebar submission win in UFC history, Claudio Puelles made it known he is a future contender in the UFC lightweight division.

What is next?

Clay Guida: Having made known this was the last fight of his UFC contract it will be interesting to see if the longtime lightweight will continue to fight, resign with the UFC, or go to another MMA promotion.

Claudio Puelles: Now a name to watch in the light division, matchups I like for Puelles include the winner of Dawson/Gordon, Jim Miller, Vinc Pichel, or Jalin Turner.

(#10 SW) Amanda Lemos vs (#1 FlyW) Jessica Andrade

In her return to strawweight, Jessica Andrade’s key to winning this fight was not to start slow and use her strength to take Amanda Lemos down. As both women have lethal standup games. However the gameplan expectedly took a turn of events when Andrade initiated a grapple towards the fence leading her to pull off the first-ever standing arm triangle in UFC history.

What is next?

Amanda Lemos: After facing her toughest opponent, this main event proved there is still much more for Lemos to learn. Opponents next for her include the winner of Penne/Pinheiro, Amanda Ribas (fighting Katlyn Chookagian), the winner of Hill/Jandiroba, or a fight at 125.

Jessica Andrade: Returning back into the top 5 of the strawweight division, opponents I like for Andrade are the winner of Joana/Weili, Mackenzie Dern, or Marina Rodriguez (number one contender fight).
