Wes Strikes Gold

At NXT’s Halloween Havocs event, Wes Lee went on to win the then-vacant NXT North American Championship, defeating four other men in the ladder match. The show also saw Bron Breakker retaining his NXT title in a thrilling triple threat match. His emotional embrace with Shawn Michaels, whom he refers to as a mentor fort him, can be seen on this tweet below.

Karl’s Entanglements

Karl Anderson just garnered himself a scheduling conflict between WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling. He and Luke Gallows are scheduled to face The Judgement Day at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5th. Anderson is also the NEVER Openweight Champion in NJPW, and is slated to defend the title against Hikuleo at Battle Autumn on the same day. NJPW president Takami Ohbari stated on Twitter that he expects Anderson and every other wrestler “to honor their advertised commitments.” Typically, if it’s WWE dates versus those of another promotion, the former wins every time, so we’ll see how this situation gets sorted out.
