Welcome to the Triple Threader, where we highlight three stories from the world of professional wrestling.

In the Wake of WarGames…

For the first time in 35 years of the Survivor Series event, a fascinating staple has been added to this year’s show, perhaps for shows moving forward. WarGames, which was a staple in WCW, then resurrected in NXT, debuted on the WWE’s Thanksgiving event. The show saw men’s and women’s matches that undoubtedly pleased fans, highlighted by the Bloodline’s win and Becky Lynch’s in ring return for the first time in four months.

Theory Takes Back the Title

Staying with Survivor Series, a United States Championship Triple Threat match was on the card. Champion Seth Rollins battled against Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory. It was a wild brawl that would see ultimately saw Lashley spear Rollins’ Falcon Arrow attempt on Theory, the latter of whom laid on the titleholder for the cover of 3, solidifying his second United States Title win.

Tragedy has struck on wrestling legend Mickie James as she confirmed the passing of her brother and niece in a car accident. The Impact Wrestling star thanked fans for their support and prayers on Twitter.

Pro Sports Fanatics sends condolences to Mickie James, her family, and those of the victims during this terrible time.
