From Dirt to Gold

The main event of this past Tuesday’s NXT featured Wes Lee and Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Championship. After a nice showing of styles, it looked like Lee would continue his historic title reign, up until Dominik’s Judgment Day cohorts came along. Finn Bàlor and Damien Priest provided fair distractions, but it was Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley with the blow from her own title that wrapped up the win for her “Dirty Dom” to become the new North American Champion, ending Wes Lee’s 270-day run.

Will the Real Chief Please Stand Up?

What started as a SmackDown contract signing for SummerSlam, has morphed into Tribal Combat as Roman Reigns agrees to put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and his Tribal Chiefdom on the line against his own cousin, Jey Uso. Following the handshake, Solo Sikoa attempted a Samoan Spike on Jey, but the champ held him back, prompting the former tag team champion to kick his own younger brother.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, NEW, NEW, NEW!

The team of Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis has struck gold once more. The newly signed AEW duo of Aussie Open became new Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions, beating former champs the Lucha Bros., The Kingdom (Mike Bennett and Matt Taven), and Best Friends (Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor) in a four-way battle. This is their fourth major tag team title, alongside a NJPW Strong Openweight reign, and two IWGP runs.
