These notable woman have brought Team USA another gold medal in the 4 by 400 meters. With their overall time being 3 minutes and 17.79 seconds. This is the new generation of Team USA track and field.
Talitha Diggs
Talitha Diggs is a 19-year-old from Hellertown, Pennsylvania. Diggs is also a student at the University of Florida. Diggs won the 2022 NCAA Outdoor championship and NCAA indoor championship. She was able to accomplish those wins while representing the University of Florida. In fact, Diggs won the USA championships, NCAA outdoor championship, and the NCAA indoor championship in the same season. She is the second woman in NCAA history that has accomplished this goal.
Abby Steiner
Abby Steiner is a 22-year-old from Dublin, Ohio. Steiner is a student at the University of Kentucky and she has been representing Kentucky extremely well. She holds the record for women’s indoor 200m American record with the time of 22.09 seconds. However, her personal best record is in the 100m with her time being 10.90 seconds. Another personal best record of hers is 21.77 seconds for 200m.
Britton Wilson
Britton Wilson is a 21-year-old from Henrico, Virginia. She is currently a student at the University of Arkansas. Wilson has won 400m hurdles at the NCAA outdoor in June 2022. Wilson has also been named as part of the American Squad of the 2022 World Athletics. Wilson has an impressive career in track for her age. For certain she is a great aspect to Team USA.
Sydney McLaughin
Sydney McLaughlin is 22-years-old from New Brunswick, New Jersey. in 2018, McLaughlin started school at the University of Kentucky. She broke the world in the 2018 NCAA Division I indoor championships. McLaughlin also created a new record for the collegiate and NCAA record in the 400m hurdles in 2018. As of now McLaughlin holds the world record in the 400m hurdles. She also holds the little of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist. McLaughlin has an stunning career. I would say that she is generation x’s “Allyson Felix”.
