F1: Set to Announce New Venue 2023

Formula 1 is expected to announce a race in Las Vegas for Thanksgiving weekend, 2023. This would make Las Vegas the third city in the United States to host a Formula 1 race.

The United States Grand Prix takes place in Austin, Texas, at the Circuit of the Americas track in October. The Miami Grand Prix race in Florida has not happened yet this season and the green flag is set to fly in May.

Las Vegas would certainly make for an exciting track. Per reports, the plan is to have a street circuit that uses streets in and around Las Vegas Boulevard, close to the Bellagio Resort & Casino. The Las Vegas strip has wide pedestrian bridges could serve as viewing areas for fans.

The sport is seeing an increase in popularity and therefore looking to expand. The 2022 season features 23 races, which makes it the longest calendar ever. This number could increase soon. The African continent does not hold any races yet, but a country there could be next on the list of announcements.
