Walker Buehler Is Back?

This weekend one of the Los Angeles ace pitchers from the rotation, Walker Buehler was able to throw his first successful bullpen session. He showed fans by posting a video on his Instagram.

Buehler’s last season left the Dodgers rotation due to needing a second Tommy John surgery for a right flexor tendon repair. Prior to the surgery Buehler was placed on the 15-day injured list on June 11, 2022.

In the 2022 season Buehler went 6-3 with a 4.02 ERA. During an interview in the month of May, Buehler told reporters that he is aiming to come back to the Dodgers rotation on September 1st. It typically takes 14-18 months for a recovery from Tommy John surgery, but in Buehler’s first Tommy John surgery his recovery took 12 months for him to return.

Lastly, during an interview about his return Buehler told reporters, “But for me, being a starting pitcher is my goal and the way I think I can provide the most value. So hopefully, everything’s good and my stuff’s good and I can get people out again.”
