On June 3rd, Aaron Judge made the injured list, after injuring his big toe on his right foot. On June 6th the manager Aaron Boone indicated that it could be weeks before Judge’s toe fully heals. The injury came after Judge slammed his foot into the concrete wall of Dodger Stadium, a risk he took in order to make an amazing catch. Right now the Yankees have placed him on the 10-day injured list, however, there is no set date for when he can come back to the field.

Judge out of the field is a blow to the team that relies on him not only as a player but also as a leader. Fans upon hearing the news have taken to Twitter in order to express their worry for the next few weeks of the season.

Things are looking a little shaky right now, Judge has one of the best stats on the team, a batting average of .291, an OBP average of .404, and an SLG of .674, and this season alone he has so far amassed 19 Home Runs.

The team is definitely feeling the effects of his loss as demonstrated on Wednesday with the game against the White Sox, ending in 6-5, not too different from Tuesday’s game which ended in 3-2 White Sox.

But the team has managed to win games from June 3rd-5th, against the Los Angeles Dodgers while Judge was out. Indicating that the team may manage while Judge is away, but it looks like things are going to be shaky for the Yankees in the coming weeks.
