Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele hoping to secure stunning move to PSG
Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele has expressed his desire to join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and has requested permission from his current club to initiate negotiations. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Frenchman is enthusiastic about a potential move to the French giants and is ready to secure an exit from Barcelona.
Dembele has reportedly already reached an agreement with PSG for a five-year contract, but the club is eager to finalize the deal soon. Since the negotiations have been delayed beyond July 31, Dembele's release clause has doubled from $55 million to a hefty $110 million.
The news comes at a crucial time for PSG, who lost Lionel Messi to a free transfer and are also facing uncertainties over the future of Kylian Mbappe. The French club is keen to strengthen their attacking lineup this transfer window, and Dembele's potential arrival could prove to be a significant addition to their squad.
Having joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, Dembele has had his share of injury struggles. However, he managed to establish himself as a regular player under manager Xavi last season, making 35 appearances and contributing with eight goals and nine assists.
