Take a look back to last year, October 17th, 2023 to be more specific. Brazil is facing Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier. Neymar is dribbling across the field and after an awkward fall he fell to the ground writhing in pain. Neymar left the field in a stretcher crying in tears as it seemed this might be the end. Brazil would miss their crown jewel as they had a disappointing Copa America crashing out in the quarterfinals to Uruguay on penalties.

The road to recovery wasn’t easy for the former PSG superstar. Neymar has had to go through three different surgeries to repair his meniscus and ACL. The rehabilitation process had been so rough that Neymar has even said during the healing process that “there are days that I want to give up”. That hasn’t stopped the Brazilian star, as he seems ready to join Al Hilal for the rest of the season.

Al Hilal have been waiting for their superstar to comeback into the fold. The defending Saudi Pro League champions are searching for another Asian Champions League title and with the Club World Cup this summer, it wouldn’t hurt to have their 90 million dollar investment push for even more silverware. Neymar looks to feature against Dubai club, Al Ain who knocked Al Hilal out of the Asian Champions League last season.
