Nick Pope

Pope has been a critical part of Newcastle’s defense ever since he signed. He was a major part of a Newcastle defense that tied for the fewest goals conceded last season (33). Moving to this season, Pope has had some incredible games for Newcastle, such as his game against Milan in the Champions League where he made eight saves to keep the clean sheet.

Newcastle’s creative outlet, Trippier has reached a completely new level under Newcastle Manager Eddie Howe. This season alone, he already has five assists, making him tied for first place for most assists in both the Premier League and top five European leagues. He also makes the top five in the Premier League in terms of shot-creating actions, goal-creating actions and successful take-on percentage. 

Sandro Tonali

Signed over the summer, Tonali has already made quite the impact in the Premier League. He scored in his Premier League debut and has been a consistent presence in Newcastle’s midfield. With him, Newcastle’s midfield is one of the best in the Premier League.

Bruno Guimarães

There is no denying the pivotal impact Guimarães has had on Newcastle since his signing. Guimarães has meshed perfectly with Manager Eddie Howe’s tactics. If Newcastle are to make a top four challenge and progress through the Champions League, Guimarães will be crucial in the midfield.

Alexander Isak

Newcastle’s main striker, Isak has already scored six goals in seven matches in the Premier League so far this season. There might have been questions around the fee paid for him, but Isak has been an excellent signing for Newcastle. Isak has the potential to be Newcastle’s next star striker.
