Dramatic comeback as Atletico beat Valencia 3-2 in stoppage time

An amazing second half fightback saw Atletico comeback from 2-0 down to beat Valencia last Saturday night at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Valencia took the lead in the 25th minute when Yunus Musah fired a great shot the went past Jan Oblak’s near post and into the net.

The team then went up 2-0 right before halftime, after a ball found Hugo Duro in the boxes, and he slotted it into the corner.

In the second half Atleti scored their first goal in the 64th minute after a corner kick found Matheus Cunha inside the 6 yard box and he scored.

During the first minute of stoppage time, a great pass that Luis Suarez couldn’t finish ends up rebounding on the Valencia goalkeeper and Angel Correa ends up firing it in.

Only two minutes later a great passing play ends up finding Mario Hermoso alone in the back post, as he finished and sealed an epic comeback for the Madrid team.
