Words of Wisdom
There is a new kid on the block who goes by the name of Zayde Wisdom. He is one of the Flyers’ newest prospects that spent some time playing for the ECHL Readington Royals and the AHL Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He played 45 games with the Phantoms and only scored three goals and had seven assists. Don’t let these stats fool you. For what he lacks in scoring, he makes up in speed and agility. From watching the two prospect games against the Rangers, he seemed to be swiftly avoiding the other teams’ defense like it was second nature.
He scored the only goal when they fell to the Rangers 3-1. Wisdom also managed to take on a couple of Rangers prospects in a fight that looked to be twice his size. He also got the highest praise from the Phantoms head coach Ian Laperrière. During a post-game press conference, Laperrière said “There’s other guys that need to be better, and he’s not one of them.” Hopefully, he instills some wisdom into the new Flyers future.
