What the Hall and Foligno injuries mean for the Bruins

Taylor Hall was placed on long-term injury reserve and Nick Foligno was placed on injury reserve. Now that both have the potential to miss serious time, the Bruins were forced to make a move for Tyler Bertuzzi. The Bruins have been rather lucky with injuries, only Jake Debrusk sustaining a longer term injury.

The Bruins have not been affected too much by the injuries yet as they have continued their ten-game winning streak.

Depth is crucial to any team and the Bruins have good depth, but they are starting to hit their limit of their depth. One or two more injuries could throw the Bruins miracle season into a spiral. The Bruins will look for newcomers Garnet Hathaway and Tyler Bertuzzi to fulfill the value that Hall and Foligno brought to the team.

Other Bruins that could play crucial roles in the absence of Hall and Foligno could be Jakub Lauko who added two goals to his count against the Sabres this past week. A.J Greer could also be a crucial piece of depth in the B’s run to the playoffs and in the playoffs. Greer has 10 points in 46 games.

The news of the two injuries does not come at a great time, but no injuries do. If Hall can come back for the Playoffs he could end up being a key return in a cup run. The Bruins have sent their future to try to win now and it would be awful to see it ruined due to injuries.
