What is Going on With the Oilers?

edmonton.citynews.ca

The Oilers have been off to a rocky start this season with a record of 2-8-1. They just tied the record for their worst start in their franchise history. The first period against Vancouver last night was some of the best hockey we have seen from the Oilers all season. Unfortunately, that was short-lived and they ended the game losing by four goals. Two of those goals were scored in the last 14 minutes of the game. They ended it with McDavid and Draisaitl both in the box and a terrible end to the game that started out great.

Head coach Jay Woodcroft was also not happy and even was ejected from the game last night in Vancouver while two of his players were in the box. He was asking the referee about a call on the ice and was ejected from the game, due to his unsportsmanlike conduct. It seems as if the Oilers cannot catch a break. They still have plenty of time to turn this season around and become Stanley Cup contenders, but will they do it?
