Since entering the league in 2019, Defenceman Adam Fox has quickly made a name for himself within the eyes of hockey fans. His rookie campaign in 2019/20 saw a glimpse at what was to come for the Rangers with Fox finishing 4th in the Calder Race to pair with 8 G - 34A - 42 P in 70 games with a 22 +/-. Many great D-Men know how to play on both ends of the ice & that Fox did, in 2019 he assisted for 22 even strength goals & 12 powerplay goals with 92 blocks & 35 hits.
Come the shortened 2020/21 season, Fox once again had a great year, increasing his point total to 47 in 15 less games with 5 G & 42 A. Foxβs 19 +/- along with another 20 even strength goal assists & 21 powerplay assists to pair with 102 blocks & 23 hits all resulted in a 1st place finish for the Norris Trophy Award at the age of 22!!
Foxβs 2021/22 season has gotten off to a great start as well with the Rangers currently sitting in 2nd place in the Metro Division. Of course, the Rangers Star D-Man has contributed mightily for the New York; posting 2 G - 7 A - 9 P in 9 games this year with a 5 +/-, 4 even strength goal assists & 3 powerplay goal assists.
Adam Foxβs rise to stardom has come fast in the brightest of lights which is that of New York. In doing so, the New York Rangers awarded Fox with a 7 Year - $66.5M contract extension with a $9.5M AAV. At this point in his career, the sky is the limit for Fox, as heβs now locked up for the foreseeable future with the Rangers & as both sides continue their ultimate goal of once again lifting Lord Stanley soon enough.
