NHL Reverse Retro Jerseys: Ranking Top 5 Best Looks

NHL Reverse Retro jerseys

On October 20th 2022, The NHL revealed its newest Adidas Reverse Retro 2022 jersey for all 23 NHL teams. Adidas has partnered with each team this year to design the Reverse Retro jerseys. The jerseys combine a historical moment for each team with fantastic new designs.

To celebrate the reveal of the Reverse Retro jerseys, I have ranked the top five best looks for the 2022-23 season.

1. Washington Capitals

The Capitals had brought back the Screaming Eagle on a black, blue, and bronze color scheme, which was first introduced in 1995. I personally love that the Screaming Eagle is back, and I know a lot of Caps fans will also be just as happy to see it back in action.

2. Boston Bruins

Pooh bear is back and better than ever! Pooh was first introduced with the Bruins in 1995. I personally wish Pooh was back on the original yellow jersey instead of the new white one.

3. Los Angeles Kings

The Kings’ Reverse Retro jersey honors the 1982 β€œMiracle on Manchester.” I love that the crown is now on a white jersey. It makes the crown and all the details stand out.

4. Pittsburgh Penguins

Robo Penguin is back and ready to try and take flight. The logo was first introduced in 1992. I love the simplicity of this jersey. Enough said.

5. New York Rangers

Say hello to Lady Liberty. Liberty was first introduced to the Rangers in 1996. I love that Lady Liberty is back, and I’m not too upset that they used a brighter blue rather than a dark navy.
