New York Islanders to host 2026 NHL All-Star Weekend

On Sunday, Feb. 18, the NHL announced that the New York Islanders will host the 2026 NHL All-Star Game at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Since there won’t be an All-Star Game next year in 2025 due to the 4 Nations Face-Off, the 2026 All-Star game will be the 69th in NHL history.

After a successful All-Star Weekend in Toronto, the league and their players are preparing to set the bar even higher at UBS Arena. The Islanders are in their third season playing at UBS, which opened on Nov. 20, 2021. The last time the Islanders hosted an All-Star game was back on Feb. 8, 1983, at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

Even though there are no dates or times announced yet, the All-Star Weekend festivities held at UBS Arena will be played in advance of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, where NHL players will be competing for the first time since the 2014 Sochi Olympics. This All-Star game will be a sendoff to the Olympics in which players participating in both will have a busy week ahead of them.

The 2026 All-Star Game will be highly anticipated, and it will be interesting to see how creative the NHL will get. Additionally, the guests that plan on coming will be able to enjoy all that UBS Arena has to offer including the destination, shopping, entertainment, and most importantly the hockey talent.
