Reviewing the 2022 Stanley Cup Champions Amazing Year

The Colorado Avalanche are the 2022 Stanley Cup Champions after completing an amazing regular season followed by a dominate playoff performance.

In the regular season, the Avalanche went 56-19-7 and, in the playoffs, went 16-4. During their success in the regular season, they were able to put up an 18-game home winning streak, which no other team in the league was able to do. Being in the arena for a Colorado home game seemed to be a sure win in an exciting fashion.

Prior to the start of the season, the Avalanche and Lightning were looked at as the league’s top contenders for the Stanley Cup. The analysts were right as Colorado faced Tampa Bay in the finals, giving us a very exciting series to watch as both teams are full of superstars. We know the Lightning have had a lot of success in the past years, as they have won the last 2 Stanley Cups. The Avalanche however have been struggling to make significant progress in the Playoffs for some time now, and that has been while they are full of skill and potential. They finally showed what they are capable of and took down the back-to-back Stanley Cup champions in 6 exciting games.

The world will have to wait and see if the Avalanche can copy what the Lightning have done the past few years and consistently express that they are the league’s best.
