Ducks in a Slump

The Anaheim Ducks have been on a seven-game losing streak after losing 8-2 to the Colorado Avalanche on November 15th. Before this, the Ducks had a good start to the season with a 9-6-0 record. Now, they currently hold the longest active losing streak in the NHL.

Could this slump be from the loss of two of their star players? The Ducks have been playing without star center Trevor Zegras and defenseman Jamie Drysdale, both due to lower body injuries. Part of the problem is a lack of scoring, the Ducks have only scored more than two goals only once in their slump against the Montreal Canadiens.

The Ducks are outshooting their opponents in games and that is still not enough. They outshot the Washington Capitals 39-15 and still lost 3-2. Something has to change for the Ducks, hopefully they can overcome this slump tonight against the Capitals.
