Bruins Injury update

As the playoffs come closer it is important to look at the health of the team. To start off it’s best to look at the most recent injury and that is to left sided defenseman Derek Forbort who blocked a shot and will now miss the rest of the regular season. Forbort, who most likely would have been the last man out in the playoff rotation, might miss out due to injury. It is a loss but one that Bruins should be able to cope with due to the depth they picked up at the deadline.

It is not all bad news for the Black and Gold though, Nick Foligno and Taylor Hall seem to be making progress back to the ice. “They’re checking boxes, they’re progressing well but there’s no timeline for us yet,” said Bruins coach Jim Montgomery.

Nick Foligno has been a  happy surprise to many Bruins fans, after a tough first year. He has sprung back into youth, but his most recent injury could hurt his production.

The former MVP, Taylor Hall, who was placed on long term injury reserve has also been hurt around the same time as Foligno. He will be a crucial piece if the Bruins are to make a run at the cup.

Montgomery has a job to do at finding the best line combinations for the team. Since Hall and Foligno have not played with new Bruins Tyler Bertuzzi and Garnet Hathaway. The Black and Gold still have some time before the end of the season but they need to start preparing for the playoffs.
