The Detroit Red Wings have traded forward Tyler Bertuzzi to the Boston Bruins in exchange for a 2024 first-round draft pick and a 2025-fourth round draft pick.

With Taylor Hall and Nick Foligino both being moved to long-term injury reserve, it was important for the Bruins to add more depth to their offense. Bertuzzi plays at left-wing and currently has 14 points in 29 games.

β€œI think Bertuzzi is another player who can play every position except for center”
— Jim Montgomery, head coach of the Boston Bruins

The acquisition of Bertuzzi adds to the depth the Bruins have on offense.

The Bruins have depth on their offense and defense, which may make things challenging for Montgomery when designing lineups, however, it also makes the Bruins an incredibly tough team to beat. As the playoffs are getting nearer, the Bruins are stacked and ready to make a run for the cup.
