A Successful Home Opener

NBC Sports Philadelphia

The Flyers’ home opener was a successful one, where they shut out the Vancouver Canucks 2-0. Carter Hart also recorded his sixth NHL shutout. The final tally for shots on goal was 26 shots for the Canucks and 42 for the Flyers. In some respects, the Flyers had a stellar game. From what I saw, though, it was a great defensive game with a lack of offense. The Flyers had 42 shots on goal and only managed to get two in? I think there is still work that needs to be done. I did see an outstanding penalty kill. At one point, the Flyers only had three men on the ice when Vancouver had five. They stood tall and finished successfully. Cheers to a New Era of Orange.
