A Successful Duck Hunting

It looks like the Flyers have redeemed themselves in a 6-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks. However, there were some fallbacks. For the Ducks, Leo Carlsson got his first NHL hat trick. You would think after the first two goals, Flyers Goaltender Samuel Ersson would have seen this one coming. While playing very offensively, it also seemed like the defense just wasn’t there, on paper anyways. The Ducks had a whopping 38 shots on goal. Samuel Ersson stopped all but three for a save percentage of 0.921. The powerplay was also upsetting as the Flyers had three opportunities, and scored on none.

Sean Couturier and Cam Atkinson came to play with two goals in the first period. Louie Belpedio still continues to shine with a goal in the second period. Owen Tippett also continues to show his major growth from the offseason with two goals of his own in the third period. Travis Sanheim shows that he can be both a defensive and offensive talent with his goal about halfway through the third period. The Flyers look for their second win against the Kings on Saturday night.
