Who Will Be The Starter In Tampa?

With Tom Brady retired, there is a vacant QB1 spot for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The real question now is who will be in that position for the starting job?

  1. Jimmy GaropPolo

Jimmy G’s days in San Francisco look like they have come to end due to injury. After losing the starting job to Trey Lance this year and losing it completely after Brock Purdy stepped in for the injured Jimmy G. Tampa seems to be the right destination for Jimmy G with a vacant QB spot. The 49ers are most likely going to let Jimmy Garoppolo walk with the insane quarterback depth they have. The real question is now that Brock Purdy is reportedly needs Tommy John surgery, will Jimmy G go back to where he was a starter or will Trey Lance be the next man up?

2. Lamar Jackson

Lamar is most likely leaving Baltimore unless him and the Ravens can negotiate a contract. That seems more unlikely as the days go by so Lamar going to Tampa can be a likely option. Tampa may not be a big fit for Lamar Jackson, however they will be able to work around it! Jackson will be able to have the weapons on offense he has been looking for. While the Ravens are expected to franchise tag him, there is a possibility that he does not get the tag. In the case he doesn’t get the tag Tampa Bay will be trying to find a way to get him to land in South Florida.

3. Derek Carr

Carr is certainly going to be leaving Las Vegas but the question is where will he be going? Tampa seems to be a likely fit for the Pro Bowler. With all the weapons that the Bucs have, Derek Carr will fit in just fine down in Florida. While the Raiders are not going to release Carr, they can get some potential value in a trade. The Raiders will most likely draft a quarterback whether it is CJ Stroud, Will Levis or even Anthony Richardson. It seems like Carr’s days in Las Vegas are coming to an end after a disappointing season.
