Well… The Super Bowl is now set: Chiefs vs Eagles
So, Super Bowl 57 is officially set and it’s the Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs on February 12th. This is a matchup between two young quarterbacks with Potential MVP, Jalen Hurts, going up against former league and Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes. This is a game many fans including myself predicted and now it’s finally going to happen and we’ll see who got what it takes to raise high that Vince Lombardi trophy.
The Eagles are looking red hot coming off two dominating playoff games which included a 38-7 beating to the Giants in the Divisional Round and just today a 31-7 smashing against the 49ers. The Chiefs however are coming off two close nail biting playoff games beating the Jaguars 27-20 in the Divisional Round and also just today 23-20 against the Bengals. The Eagles look sharp and healthy while the Chiefs look wounded and their biggest player, Patrick Mahomes, still having conflicts with his ankle injury.
Two fascinating variables are being talked about going into the Super Bowl. First, Chiefs coach Andy Reid goes up against the team he coached from 1999-2012 that ran him out of town after heading to 5 Conference Championships and never winning a Super Bowl. Second we have a brother vs brother matchup with star Eagles Center, Jason Kelce, going up against his younger brother Chiefs star Tight End, Travis Kelce.
This is a battle of the two best teams in the whole league with the two quarterbacks both having a chance to win league MVP. This has a chance to be a high scoring game with two of the top offenses in the NFL. Even though the Eagles blew out both of there opponents in the playoffs that won’t happen this time with them now playing the best QB in the game. This has the potential to be a high scoring Super Bowl and we can all sit back and enjoy this game.
