Ravens and Dolphins have the Game of the Year so far

This game silenced a lot of people criticizing Lamar Jackson and Tua Tagovailoa. Jackson was having a perfect game, as Baltimore had a demanding lead against Miami. That was until the Dolphins stormed back outscoring the Ravens 28-3 in the fourth quarter. Tua Tagovailoa ended the day throwing for 469 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions. Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill combined for 22 receptions for 361 yards and four touchdowns. It was an incredible day for Miami, especially for Tagovailoa.

Colts continue their losing streak in Jacksonville

Last week, the Jaguars nearly beat Carson Wentz, the guy everyone blamed for costing the Colts a postseason berth last year. Wentz was able to pull out a win against Jacksonville.

The Colts, however, did not.

Don’t get me wrong, Wentz had an awful finale last season and I’m not trying to defend his performance. However, what this game displayed is that no matter the circumstance, the Colts always seem to lose on the road against the Jaguars. Wentz looked bad in their Week 18 loss, but so did the rest of the team. And yet again, they were on the tail end of a humiliating defeat to their AFC South rival. Matt Ryan looked terrible, going 16/30 for 195 yards and three interceptions. Jonathan Taylor once again did nothing until the second half of the game. Michael Pittman Jr. was out for the game, which leaves concern for the Colts’ passing attack. Many have called for Indianapolis to address their receiving core in the offseason, which they have done little to improve. And it showed in this game. Meanwhile, the defense once again could not adjust to Trevor Lawrence, who only had five incompletions and a passer rating of 121.5.

Tom Brady finally wins against New Orleans

Tom Brady’s kryptonite as a Buccaneer was beating the Saints during the regular season. He was swept by New Orleans in both of the previous seasons, despite being favored in all four matchups. It was one thing to lose when Drew Brees was the signal caller, but it was another to lose when Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian were the quarterbacks. Brady had some of the worst games of his career against New Orleans. While he still didn’t look great, he was able to get his first regular-season win against the Saints since 2017. He can thank Jameis Winston, who reverted to throwing careless interceptions. His former teammate linebacker Devin White threw shots at Winston for his performance.

"When Jameis left our team, everybody knows what he did that last year," White said. ”He threw 30 picks. We just knew he was going to give us the ball.”

Philadelphia soars atop the NFC standings

Before the season, many had the Eagles as a Super Bowl contender. The additions they made over the off-season elevated them over a lackluster NFC. The main question mark was at quarterback. Jalen Hurts’ second year in the NFL wasn’t exactly the biggest reassurance for Eagles fans who wanted more. However, performances like these will boost Philadelphia’s chances to get to the big game. Hurts was criticized for his inaccuracy in the passing game. Hurts responded to this criticism with a 26/31 performance for 333 yards and one touchdown on Monday night. He did throw a late interception, but the game was over by then for the Vikings. Kirk Cousins now has a 2-10 record on Monday Night Football.
