Fantasy Matchups to Watch
Jets D/ST rank against opposing units (PPR):
Opposing Quarterbacks: 24th
Opposing RBs: 32nd
Opposing WRs: 12th
Opposing TEs: 26th
Fantasy Play of the Week (Saints): Alvin Kamara
Although Kamara is coming off of a knee injury that has held him out of the last four contests, the Jets offer a prime opportunity for him to get back on track. The Jets defense has not defended running backs (or anyone) well all season, evidenced by them allowing at least one rushing touchdown in 11 of their 12 games this season. When factoring in Kamara’s dual-threat ability as a pass-catcher, Kamara should expect to see at least 20 touches assuming he takes on his normal workload. Play Kamara as a high-end RB1 in your lineups.
Saints rank against opposing units (PPR):
Opposing QBs: 27th
Opposing RBs: 1st
Opposing WRs: 28th
Opposing TEs: 10th
Fantasy Play of the Week (Jets): WR Jamison Crowder
With their top three options on the IR (Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, Michael Carter), the Jets are lacking in viable fantasy options. Look for the always reliable Jamison Crowder to be targeted quite a bit as Zach Wilson’s safety valve. Play Crowder as a WR3/Flex in your lineups.

Keys to Victory
Saints:
Offense
Take advantage of an in-opportunistic Jets defense and run the ball to move the chains.
Use Kamara as a pass-catcher to stretch the defense and not allow the defensive line to get home.
Defense
Shut down the Jets run game and challenge Zach Wilson to beat them through the air with limited pass-catching options.
Force Wilson to hold onto the ball and remain in the pocket.
Jets:
Offense
Establish the run game and stay on schedule during drives and drain clock.
Limit self-inflicted errors and turnovers to keep their defense off of the field.
Defense
Neutralize Alvin Kamara and do not allow conversions on third down.
Force turnovers to give the offense extra opportunities to score with favorable field position.
Score Prediction
The Jets’ offense showed promise in the first half of last week’s game against the Eagles. Zach Wilson showed signs of growth in his processing and ability to stretch the field and get the ball to his playmakers quickly. However, with a depleted receiving corps and a shaky defense that can’t get off of the field, I don’t see the Jets generating enough offense to pull off the upset.
Saints 20, Jets 13
