Josh Jacobs establishes himself among the league’s top running backs
The Raiders outlasted the Seahawks in a 40-34 victory to get their fourth win of the season. The player of the game was Josh Jacobs, who logged 229 rushing yards & two touchdowns, along with 74 receiving yards. He put the dagger in Seattle with an 83-yard game-winning run during overtime. My chances of winning in fantasy this week went from 63 percent to 3 percent because of his performance. Thanks Josh.
Trevor Lawrence gets late-game victory against Baltimore
Speaking of decreased winning probability, the Jaguars beat the Ravens in a 28-27 upset victory. The Ravens looked to take this one after gaining a seven-point lead with just over two minutes left. Want to guess how it ended?
Yep, Baltimore blew yet another lead. While this team has issues in their secondary and receiving core, the fact of the matter is they should be undefeated right now. They have blown multiple late leads, many of them double digits. The Jaguars went 75 yards down the field in 1.5 minutes with no timeouts.
This is Trevor Lawrence's fourth game-winning drive of his career, but it felt like his first true one. Lawrence didn't have to play from behind in his other comebacks or even score a touchdown. He had to do both against the Ravens, something he hasn't done much of in his young career.
Mike White impresses as Jets cruise over Bears 31-10
Zach Wilson's lack of accountability after a terrible performance got him benched against the Bears this week. Mike White got the call and took advantage, going 22 of 28 for 315 yards and three touchdowns with a 149.3 rating. Only time will tell if he keeps this up. He had a great game against the Bengals last season but couldn't replicate it for the rest of the year.
Though, the Jets may stick with White even amidst struggles. Wilson has not looked near the hype he got as the No. 2 overall pick in 2021, and his egotistical personality has been displayed. After being a fan favorite with his actions over the summer, he has become one of the most disliked quarterbacks in the league.
Saints’ woes continue in San Francisco
The Saints are one of the most disappointing teams this season. Some anticipated they would be a playoff contender and even take over the division amidst Tom Brady's temporary retirement. Now they are fourth place in the worst division in the league. Injuries and inconsistency have plagued this team.
Their disappointment continues after being shut out against San Francisco. They had less than 270 yards of total offense. The only bright spot this season has been rookie wide receiver Chris Olave, who is a candidate for the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
