AFC Divisional Playoffs Injury Report

The AFC divisional round happens this weekend and all that is left standing are the Houston Texans set to take on the Baltimore Ravens, and the Buffalo Bills set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.  The Texans took on the Ravens earlier this year with the Ravens winning 25-9, now the Ravens will have to take on rookie quarterback CJ Stroud, so this will be interesting. A little over a month ago, the Bills took on the Chiefs, with the Bills coming out on top 20-17. Since these matchups occurred, there have been changes to the roster due to injury, so let us take a closer look at these teams going into week 20.

For the Texans, defensive end Jerry Hughes is out with an ankle injury.  While multiple players are noted questionable, such as wide receiver Noah Brown with a back injury, WR Robert Woods with a hip injury, DE Jonathan Greenard with an ankle injury, defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins with a shoulder injury, and full back Andrew Beck with a calf injury.  It is uncertain how these injuries will affect their game this weekend.

The Baltimore Ravens have a shorter list of players questionable with WR Zay flowers having a calf injury, cornerback Marlon Humphrey with a calf injury, linebacker Odafe Oweh with an ankle injury, LB Malik Harrison with a groin injury, and LB Del’Shawn Phillips with a shoulder injury. Coming off a bye week, the coaching staff is hopeful that most if not all players will return for the matchup against the Texans.

Buffalo has had many injuries this season and has come back strong for this six-game winning streak.  Some notable injuries are WR Gabe Davis who is out with a knee injury, safety Taylor Rapp out with a calf injury. Listed as questionable are LB Tyrel Dodson with a shoulder, CB Rasul Douglas with a knee injury, and LB Terrel Bernard, who suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

The Kansas City Chiefs have stayed relatively healthy this season and have a short injury list going into the divisional round.  Listed, they have offensive tackle Wanya Morris out on concussion protocol.  They have WR Justyn Ross listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, as well as WR Kadarius Toney questionable with a hip and ankle injury.
