For a game that ended with only 21 total points scored, the Minnesota Vikings lost their third out of the first four games. Hoping for the momentum to continue from their Week 3 win against the Seahawks, that was not the case.

A key coming into the game was to stop the dynamic running back duo of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. However, the Vikings were unable to keep these two from running all over the defense. Chubb finished with 100 yards on the ground and Hunt added another 69 yards. What is typically the strength of the Minnesota defense was made out to be their weakest point.

Baker Mayfield threw the ball 33 times but only was able to complete the ball 15 times for 155 yards. The pressure by the Vikings defense was very relevant but the play action and straight up running schemes the Browns used were too much.

If you watched the first possession for the Vikings you would have thought the game would have gone in a different direction. Zimmer going for the it on 4th down was a play that established the aggressive nature that looked to continue throughout the four quarters.

The Cleveland pressure on Kirk Cousins caused penalties, incompletions and frustration for the offense that looked to take advantage of a 30-point game against Seattle just a week earlier. Dalvin Cook had a very limited impact and wasn’t as effective when he was in the game with that injured ankle.

The Minnesota Vikings look to bounce back on Sunday October 10th where they will travel to Detroit to take on the 0-4 Lions. Cleveland heads to the west coast to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
