Philadelphia Eagles Vs Denver Broncos Preview
After losing a close game against the Chargers, the Eagles will be looking to rebound against a 5-4 Broncos team, that just came off their best win of the season beating the Cowboys 30—16.
The Eagles offense will need to continue their dominant rushing performances as they have rushed for 237 and 176 yards against their last two opponents. They were able to do this partly because the Chargers and Lions have some of the worst run defenses in the NFL. It will be interesting to see if they keep up this approach against a Broncos defense that is 6th best against the run. The Eagles passing game could target one of the few weaknesses on the Broncos defense, their LBs. Their Top 3 Linebackers will all be out this game and Dallas Goedert could have a big game this week.
The Eagles defense on the other hand should have one of their easier matchups of the year, at least on paper. The Eagles D-line will be facing a depleted Broncos O-line which will be without its starting LT, RT and RG. The Eagles Secondary will need to give the pass rush enough time to get home by playing tighter coverage, which is not something they have done this season as they have instead given opposing receivers a lot of space in an effort to prevent getting beat deep. This will be a hard task against the Broncos as they have one of the best-receiving cores in the NFL with Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, and Noah Fant.
If the Eagles wish to beat an underrated Broncos squad the offense will have to once again be effective running the ball and the defense will have to put up a better fight than they have the past few weeks.
