Tyreek Hill Announces Retirement in 2025

NFL.com

Orange, California (PSF) — This Thursday, Tyreek Hill announced to the world that he would be retiring after his contract with the Dolphins ends. He was shooting for around ten seasons and wants to move on with his life. “I want to go into the business side, [coaching too] but not for long. I want to do so many things in my life, bro.” This past season Hill set career-highs in receptions (119) and yards (1,710), while scoring seven touchdowns as the team’s top offensive option. While Tua was hurt late into the season, Hill’s stats did not depreciate. They seemed consistent no matter who the quarterback for the Dolphins was.

From what has been reported on Hill, he wants to start a “gaming team.” which has not launched as of yet and wants to partner with different athletes and content creators. Tyreek most likely means that he will start a Twitch channel where he will play and stream video games with former and current NFL players. He might be going the route of Cortrelle Javon "C. J." Anderson, a former running back with the Broncos who currently coaches at Rice University. During his career in the NFL, Anderson had a popular Twitch channel following and played games such as Madden and Call of Duty. Now it would seem Hill wants to take that to the next level and put a whole production team together for his “gaming space.”

Hill has left his mark on the NFL and will continue to do so well into next year, and when his contract with the Dolphins is up, it will be interesting to see if he follows through with this idea. Another exciting idea is Hill is simply pulling a Tom Brady and will return to the NFL after his contract has expired and be back on the field in no time. Whatever Hill does after 2025, he will undoubtedly still have fans who will follow him on any career path or platform.
