Who Will Be the Jets Future Quarterback?

The Jets are a team that have brought fans so much misery year after year and last season nothing changed. Even though last year their defense was borderline top five led by Sauce Gardner, the offense just couldn’t get it done. But then you look at their offensive roster and see weapons like wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall and wonder how that was possible. Then you turn to their quarterback play. To put it lightly, Zach Wilson has been an absolute failure for this team. Getting benched in year two just after getting picked second overall not even two years ago puts him on track as one of the biggest busts in NFL history.

So, where do the Jets go from here? Zach Wilson clearly isn’t the answer and while backup QB Mike White has been okay, he clearly can’t lead his team to Super Bowl contention. The Jets could try to trade up in the draft and gamble for a quarterback, but with this current team they have, they shouldn’t. They need an established quarterback who knows how to win. Luckily, a four time Most Valuable Player and Super Bowl Champion quarterback is possibly looking to leave his team. It has been known for a few years now that Aaron Rodgers has been annoyed with the Packers and the way the team has been run. It is hard to blame him honestly when their General Manager took a back-up quarterback when their roster was one possible weapon away from a Super Bowl. In the past offseason the Packers lost possibly the best wide receiver in the game, Davante Adams, to the Raiders and now the current Packers team is loaded with young inexperienced players.

Rodgers needs to be on a win now team and the Jets look like they are one quarterback away. If the Jets want to hold up the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year, trading for Rodgers is the way to do it.
