Travis Kelce is the Best Tight End Ever

Every year Travis Kelce seems to keep getting better. October 10, against the Las Vegas Raiders, Kelce put up four touchdowns on 25 receiving yards. He continually puts up more than 1000 yards every season, starting in 2016, his third full season in the NFL.

Kelce is seemingly unable to be stopped. Every year he puts up ridiculous numbers that would never have seemed possible for a tight end before he entered the league. He has the ability to change games with his shear strength and size.

So far this season, Kelce has 347 receiving yards, and 7 touchdowns, 4 away from tying his career high for a full season. With the way he is playing in this young season, it appears that he will crush this number, especially if he continues to play the way he played against the raiders.

Kelce just turned 33 years old, and recently passed Rob Gronkowski to be fifth all time among tight ends in receiving yards, being about 6,000 yards away from Tony Gonzalez’s 15,127 receiving yards. He is also 52 touchdowns away from Antonio Gates record. Only being 33, it appears that Kelce will be able to surpass these numbers by the time he retires, given the way he has played thus far throughout his career.

Kelce is a game changer. The NFL has never seen a tight end with his abilities. Kelce is one of the larger men in the league, and still has incredible speed. His speed paired with his route running, size and strength create problems for NFL defenses week after week.

Simply put, the NFL has never seen a tight end with the abilities Kelce has. He has changed the game. It has become extremely rare to find a defender who can actually stop Kelce. To go along with this, the Chiefs can use him in different ways because of his athleticism.

Offenses throughout the league have attempted to adopt the Chiefs gameplan, but they don’t have a weapon like Kelce. Other tight ends cannot do the things he does. Kelce has a special skill set that separates him from any other tight end to ever enter the NFL.

Kelce is the best tight end the NFL has ever seen.
