With Tom Brady out for the Pro Bowl because of a shoulder injury, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will take his place for the event.

During the season, Wilson misses three games with a finger injury due to contact with Aaron Donald’s helmet and struggle to throw the football accurately until the final NFL season games. Despite the injury, Wilson joins Peyton Manning to be the only players the threw about 20 touchdowns passes and pass 3,000 yards for their first 10 seasons. For the 2021 season, Wilson recorded 3,113 yards, 25 touchdowns, six interceptions, and a total quarterback rating of 54.7 according to ESPN.

Wilson now has nine Pro bowl selections which will tie Seahawks legend Walter Jones with most appearances. He also would join fellow teammates Bobby Wagner and Quandre Diggs for the NFC Pro Bowl team.

Along with Wilson, Kirk Cousins will replace Dak Prescott for the Pro Bowl after Prescott decides to skip it due to not wanting to be injured for next season.

β€œDidn’t want to take any more unnecessary hits I guess you could say or just wear on the body,” Prescott said after a 7-Eleven event at The Star. β€œWanted to turn the page, get ready to just start next season.”

Cousins will make his third appearance in 10 seasons for the Pro Bowl. Wilson and Cousin will both appear this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on Feb. 6, 2022.
