Titans Defense Makes Up For Losing Franchise Player
The Tennessee offense got off to a slow start Sunday night in Southern California but quickly gained momentum once they saw they could compete. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill had a good game last night going 19/27, with 143 passing yards and one rushing touchdown. With a scoreless first quarter, Tannehill led his offense down the field for three scores in the second quarter. Tannehill also showed off his rushing skills with a quarterback bootleg to get into the endzone mid second quarter to give the titans their second score of the game. Tannehill was definitely a leader and significant piece in the big victory over the rams.
Titans fans couldn’t wait to see what Adrian Peterson was going to do against the Rams defense, but unfortunately his impact was minor. Peterson left the game with 10 carries for 21 yards with one touchdown. Peterson said before the game “I feel like I can play until I'm 40 last season was the best I ever felt before a season” according to reporters. Peterson was only in camp for a couple of days and he is most likely still getting adjusted to the offense, one might say this is the best environment for him with the Titans offense being based on a strong run game. In fact, the leading rusher for last night’s game was D’onta Foreman who finished with five carries for 29 yards. It seems like Mike Vrabel was looking for their next go-to man for their rushing game.
