Time to worry about Derrick Henry?

We need to have a discussion about Derrick Henry. Many are wondering if this is finally the time the runningback starts to “fall off”. So far Henry through three games has 51 attempts for 163 yards and 1 touchdowns. His worst performance was this last weekend against Cleveland. Henry only had 11 attempts for a miniscule 20 yards. Part of this dissapointing start for the back is put on the Titans offensive line. This unit is one of the league’s worst overall so Henry is getting little to no support from them. This diminishes his game because Henry needs decent line play to open up some holes, he is not the type of back that can just out run everyone at the age of 29.

What does this mean for Henry’s future in Tennessee? I think this could go one of two ways, Henry either stays in Tennessee or the franchise trades him if they continue to lose games. The way this team has played so far, the losing doesn’t seem like it’s going to stop. I think Henry could get traded, it would be interesting to see where he goes if the Titans pull the trigger. It just doesn’t make sense for a team on the verge of rebuilding to hold onto an aging runningback that they are paying decent money to.
