The New Star In New York

Breece Hall was a pleasant surprise selection in the second round for the New York Jets. Hall is coming into a packed running back room with very talented veterans. It’s needless to say that Hall has revamped this running back room with the ability to be a three-down back. This opens up the Jet's offensive scheme tremendously as we've been hoping to see this entire offseason.

This is done in the hope to help Zach Wilson make the jump he needs after an impressive second half of his rookie season. Breece Hall and Michael Carter offer a unique backfield where Mike Lafleur can set up many players in the offense to be involved and effective. Breece Hall is a very patient runner that can read second-level blocks very well. His patience is similar to Le'veon Bell coming out of college with the natural ability to wait and create something out of nothing.

In Hall’s 3-year career at Iowa State, he tallied 718 attempts for 3,941 rushing yards and 50 rushing touchdowns. As well as 82 total receptions for 738 yards and 6 touchdowns. Much like Michael Carter, Hall brings in the opportunity to catch and run with the ball, but most importantly gives the Jets a viable option as a power running back. An area of need for the Jets for a long time. The fact that Hall had back-to-back seasons with at least 20 rushing touchdowns is amazing, and it is even more amazing that the Jets were able to steal him in the early second round. Which came out of a trade with the New York Giants, as it seems that New York sports have stolen the headline for this year's draft.

Recently both Breece Hall and Sauce Gardner have had a difficult time deciding what jersey numbers they will wear for the 2022 season. Gardner had finally come to a settlement with cornerback DJ Reed, as Reed will be switching to number 4 and Gardner will be sticking with number 1. During rookie minicamp, Breece Hall was seen wearing number 35, but that may change as well because of DJ Reed and Sauce Garnder switching jersey numbers. It would be a good idea to wait a bit longer before purchasing any new jerseys! There has been a lot of positive media directed towards the Jets organization and these young studs are proud to lead the way. The culture in this New York Jets organization is changing. All gas no breaks.
