Steelers Week 16 Rooting Guide
With only 3 weeks left in the regular season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are in a tight race to retain their AFC North title. The Steelers are 3rd in the division sitting one game behind the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens. Although the Steelers are in a good position to make a playoff push, they will need some outside help.
Steelers beat Chiefs
Of course, before looking for outside help the Steelers must take care of Kansas City. During preparation for Sunday's game, the Chiefs have been dealing with COVID issues leaving several players questionable to play. Tuesday the Chiefs placed kicker Harrison Butker, DB Chadvious Ward, WR Tyreek Hill, and TE Travis Kelce on the COVID list. This would be a huge advantage for the Steelers and their playoff hopes.
Ravens beat Bengals
The Ravens must beat the Bengals to create a gap for the Steelers. The Bengals swept the Steelers this season controlling the tiebreaker. This will be a tuff ask for the Ravens since it is unlikely that Lamar Jackson will play. Lamar is trending down for week 16 leaving Tyler Huntley to start his third straight game. Also, the Ravens defense is dealing with multiple injuries forcing John Harbaugh to make tuff decisions for his offense.
Packers beat Browns
I am confident that the Packers will take care of business against the Browns. The Browns are coming off a close week 15 loss to the Raiders. They are also, dealing with several players testing positive for COVID noticeable quarterback Baker Mayfield. If Baker cannot play backup Nick Mullens, we make his second start of the season. Last week the Packers defeated the Ravens and claimed the NFC North championship. The Packers look to continue their success and keep the one-seed spot in the NFC.
