What looked to be a well-in-hand Vikings victory became a narrow escape from the Steelers. Entering Thursday's game, the Steelers and Vikings understood this was a must-win if they wanted to keep their playoffs hopes alive. The Vikings had an explosive first half scoring 23 points. The Steelers would spark a comeback late in the 3rd quarterback after Ben Roethlisberger finds Najee Harris for a touchdown trailing the Vikings 29-7. The Steelers rally back in the 4th quarter only trailing the Vikings 36-28. With little time left Roethlisberger led his team down the field to the Vikings 12 yard-line. The Steelers were left with 3 seconds and only had time for one more play. Roethlisberger tries to hit tight end Pat Freiermuth in the endzone, but Vikings safety Harrison Smith knocks the ball out sealing the Vikings 36-28 win.

"We were JV again tonight, and I'm talking upfront on both sides"- Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin

Coach Tomlin was not impressed with his team's comeback. Coach Tomlin felt like both offensive and defensive lines did not play to their full potential. The Steelers were held scoreless in the first after kicker Chris Boswell missed a 49-yard field goal on the opening drive.

"Once I told'em I'm good, I'm good,"- Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook

Dalvin Cook was a game-time decision Thursday night. Playing him was the right decision finishing the game with 205 yards and 2 touchdowns. Cook was coming off a shoulder injury he suffered earlier in the year.

Standout Players:

Steelers backup cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon intercepted Kirk Cousins twice in the second half fueling the comeback. Witherspoon has filled in for injured corner Joe Haden the past two games. Last week Witherspoon had a potential interception against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. I expect to see Witherspoon get more playing time even if Joe Haden returns.
